Maximum Earnings Banking Program and Promotions
Southern Community asked us to promote an account that would appeal to active-lifestyle customers who did the majority of their banking online and through ATMs. The account rewards customers with a premium interest rate, free checking, and no ATM fees when they meet monthly requirements for debit card use and direct deposit. We developed the name Maximum Earnings Banking, with the acronym ME used to represent both Maximum Earnings and the customer-focused benefits, and added the tag line "It's all about you" to reiterate that customer focus. To market the account we created a distinctive logo and used a variety of media, including bank displays and handouts, outdoor boards, direct mail, web ads, print ads, and an extensive radio campaign. The initial campaign referenced here, which ran through 2009, exceeded the client's expectations in terms of generating new customers. The campaign also received an Award of Excellence from the International Academy of the Visual Arts in the 2009 Communicator Awards.
